You would think that after thousands of years of evolution, we would be better at communicating, but I still find most people really battle to communicate with others in a meaningful way.
Men are generally not the best at expressing themselves and us, women, tend to over complicate things, so no wonder relationships are complex!
I think women have not yet understood that with men the best thing is to be concise, logical and straightforward, without emotional frill. Simple and preferably non-dramatic communication works best.
I think men have not yet understood that women are an ocean of emotion and that not only do we live with our own feelings, we also, through our empathic nature, carry and worry about the feelings of those around us, which means we struggle to keep it ‘simple’.
Understanding the nature of reality and the world we live in, has pushed many of us on an introspective journey of discovering who we are ourselves.
The more you get to know who you truly are, the better you become at communicating your needs, your feelings, your hopes and your dreams.
Relationships need to be renegotiated as time goes by, but most people fail to do so, because they fail to recognise that the person in the mirror is not the same anymore and the person standing beside them, isn’t either.
What worked once upon a time, doesn’t work anymore and that’s ok, but it must be spoken about and new agreements reached. A new balance must be found, that fits who either person has become.
For this to happen, one must have the courage to honestly look within, face the shadows, heal, and let go of whatever keeps you from being your best version. Only then can you renegotiate the terms of your relationships.
It’s not about giving up, it’s about recognising changes and adapting through understanding and acceptance, within a new framework that works for both.
The world is going through a purging process, we must do the same ourselves.
Once you get to the essence of who you are, without the trauma, the shadows, the misconceptions, the insecurities or the indoctrination, you will see how much easier it becomes to communicate what you need, what you want and who you are.
I don’t think men are from Mars and women are from Venus, I think the issue is that we are mostly not who we were born to be. But as we continue on this journey of transformation and remembrance, we will soon discover that we come from the same place, that our essence is one, that our souls can communicate perfectly and that all we needed to do, was to recognise this.
