The Best Way Out is Always Through It | Laura Aboli

We are living through an era that demands we face things most people have avoided for too long; uncomfortable truths, shattered illusions, moral rot exposed in places we were taught to trust, and a constant sense that the ground beneath the world we knew, is giving way.

It’s heavy, it’s exhausting, and at times it feels almost unbearable to keep looking, to keep processing, to keep standing upright in the middle of it all. But there is no escape hatch from a moment like this. There is no shortcut around grief, no detour around truth, no safe bypass around the reckoning that comes when lies collapse under their own weight.

The instinct to numb out, to look away, to pretend nothing is happening is understandable, but it doesn’t lead anywhere. It only delays the inevitable, and often makes the cost higher when the storm finally catches up.

Going through means allowing yourself to feel the shock, the anger, the sadness and the disillusionment, without letting those emotions harden into despair. It means resisting the urge to cling to comforting narratives when reality is asking for courage instead. It means staying awake, even when sleep would feel easier.

History has always worked this way. Collapse precedes renewal and exposure precedes reform. Storms clear the air not because they are gentle, but because they are thorough.

If there is to be a calmer, more peaceful future, one rooted in truth rather than illusion, it cannot be built on denial. It has to be earned by walking straight through the chaos with eyes open and a brave heart.

The storm is loud right now. The winds are strong. The waves are rough. But storms pass, and they only pass when we stop running from them and learn how to stand in the rain long enough for the sky to clear.

And the sky will clear, so have faith and hold the line…
