The concept of “sin” was a translation error.
The original Greek word was “hamartia.” It’s an archery term.
It means “to miss the mark.”
not evil.
not moral failure.
not something God will punish you for.
just… missing.
You aimed at the target and didn’t hit it.
So what was the target?
Union. Presence. Self-knowledge. Remembering what you actually are.
every time you fall asleep to yourself, you miss.
every time you identify with the ego, you miss.
every time you react mechanically, you miss.
it’s not about being bad.
it’s about being unconscious.
and the solution isn’t guilt and confession and waiting for forgiveness.
the solution is waking up and trying again.
that’s what the teachings were actually about.
becoming a better archer.
hitting the mark more often.
not crawling on your knees begging to be forgiven for being human.
the whole framework got inverted.
the path got turned into a prison.
but the original meaning is still there.
you’re not a sinner.
you’re an archer who needs practice.
Notes to Readers:
The “mistranslation” was intentional and used against the people to keep their frequency low, afraid, unsure of their own inner flame, inner power.
Those who survived being brought up in the Catholic Church and left know what I’m saying.
Religion is about control. It is just another cult.
