So, that’s a brief synopsis of my flower and butterfly photos… The photos speak louder than words to those who love beauty. The formal rose garden wasn’t in tip top shape as we’ve experienced some thunderstorms lately which squash and damage the blooms, but altogether it wasn’t a bad show. The butterflies and dragonflies were in great abundance but harder to capture on digital film. Then, there was the slightly annoying presence of biting black flies. Mosquitos hardly registered in my awareness. That will change later on in the hot season.
The photos are all from Washington Oaks Gardens. I have others from Princess Place, too, but will put them up later as I wanted to do a theme posting. I hope you enjoy the blossoms and butterflies.
In joy,
Eliza Ayres

Thanks, Pat. There are plenty of photographers out there with superior lenses and cameras. I’m good at cropping and composition, always have been. Someday I hope to obtain a better camera with higher zoom as I love focusing in on tiny details. Then, there’s the matter of the shaky hands… i don’t use a tripod so some photos get blurred. Photography is another creative outlet right now, something that occupies my attention when immersed in the beauty of these natural settings. I am pleased you are enjoying my efforts. ~ Eliza
