The title of this post is one of my favorite lines from Dances With Wolves (1990). It suits for today’s update. Unlike the good woman in the movie, I’m still among the living…
You see, folks, I was in the hospital sans laptop. On the eve of my 75th birthday, I fainted… but it wasn’t until October 2nd when my housemates managed to convince me to go to the hospital. Good thing. Had I not gone, I wouldn’t be here today. I have to thank the many efforts on my behalf to the amazing team at Advent Health here in Flagler County.
On October 2nd I was taken to the hospital via EM transport and admitted to the Emergency Room, stabilized with fluids and basic tests done to see what was wrong. A radiology review discovered a huge embolism in both lungs. That’s a blood clot. There was one present in my upper right thigh, too. After giving the ER personnel my version of what was going on, they decided to immediately operate. Hours later, I was weak but stable and present in Intensive Care, where I stayed for the next 4.5 days. After recovering more, I was moved to a nursing unit where I was finally discharged last evening.
I received over 25 personal emails from readers, but instead of replying to them all right now, I’m giving this brief description of my trials and tribulations of the past week +. It is ironic that for all I have been down on Western medicine, it is what saved me and why I can write this today.
I will be on medication for a month or two, a blood thinner, to prevent further blood clots and to continue to dissolve any small embolisms present elsewhere in my body.
Meanwhile, I’m back, although it will take some time to regather my strength. While I still in recovery any long trips are on hold. I’m learning how to use some basic medical devices.
The dedicated nursing staff of AdventHealth enjoyed my presence in their hospital. I was fortunate to meet some amazing truly compassionate individuals during my stay at the hospital.
Right now, anyone considering making donation (thanks in advance) know the funds will be used to pay for medications. I’m on Medicare, but not covered by Medicare Advantage for Rx drugs or other services. I will be signing up for these other plans for next year… depending on when the med beds come online for the public. I’ve learned about some underlying health issues that I wasn’t aware of until the lengthy battery of tests were made this past week.
It was very quiet at the house last night, in stark contrast to the 24/7 bustle of activity at any hospital, interruptions for basic stats (temperature, blood pressure, oxygen levels, etc.), blood draws for labs (I have several bruises), etc. I was on Heparin and for a time, on oxygen, as well, until my stats came up.
I will miss some of the good meals I ate at the hospital.
Thank you to all who sent me healing energies, much appreciated.
While I can’t say I’m fully healed, I am stable, cognitively present, and grateful to have been given a second chance to fulfill whatever is intended for me to accomplish in the coming months. Now, it’s time for some breakfast and some light exercise, walking inside the house for now as it is raining and wet outside today. Meanwhile, I made my bed, got dressed, and cleaned up my medicine cabinet. I will be on home health care probably for a few months, something that is covered under Medicare.
This has been quite the ordeal, but I am grateful to have experienced true professional kindness in the course of my hospital stay.
I am independent, can move around slowly and will continue to regain my strength. Meanwhile… it’s breakfast time.
Thanks, everyone. I may attempt to personally address some of the emails graciously sent by readers.
Many thanks to those who watch over us.
Eliza

Yes, I know my work here is not done, a realization that kept me here. There is still a considerable amount of transition to undergo as individuals and a collective. And I need to give some thought why I was tossed into the belly of the beast of Western medicine so abruptly. I am grateful for the skill and training that contributed to keeping my body whole. If I had waited too much longer, I wouldn’t be here now. And thanks to Medicare for covering what was an 7.5 day hospital stay, including ER, emergency surgery, ICU, and Skilled Nursing care. I have a background in Medical Records so understand the technical language pretty well. Interesting enough, while I was very weak, I never had any fear. I knew I was being guided and watched over, by both physical and spiritual energies.
Thanks for your comment. ~ Eliza

Oh no. So very sorry to read this! I was wondering why you seemed to ‘disappear’. I hope it isn’t in relation to any ‘foul play’? I can’t help but ‘go there’ and often have been concerned for your safety. Yes man made meds have their good points for sure—as in emergencies! So happy that you received good care! Seems rare these days. I can’t stand the hospitals where I live. Taken over by one big conglomerate. Will keep you in daily prayers. Take plenty of time to heal 🙏🙏🙏 Gina

Thank you, Gina. Hospital systems do vary a great deal depending on location. Fortunately, no one volunteered to give me a Covid-19 shot. They’re not being given out like candy here in Florida any more. You have to go through a primary care provider to get the Rx. I did receive excellent, compassionate care by most of the staff. Only one night nurse was a little brusque.
It was all in all an interesting experience, but soon I would rather not repeat soon if ever. ~ Eliza

Michael, I’m not sure of the origin of the blood clot… it was rather humongous encompassing both lobes of the lung. Fortunately I had a very good surgeon. Meanwhile, I’m in the system for awhile until I regain my strength. Thanks for the suggestions. ~ Eliza

Thank you, Wendy. I know I have friends; I could “feel” y’all even when I was very weak in body, but never in spirit. I didn’t once consider giving up.
I missed the writing and Notes, too. It will still take awhile to rebuild the moment. Just getting through the massive build-up of emails has been a chore. Then, I’m learning how to take my own blood pressure, etc. It’s all a learning process.
I am capable to accomplish activities of daily living (occupation therapy – ADL) but am still weak. I am focusing on taking the appropriate medications and will be receiving Physical Therapy suggestions on how to strengthen after this major surgery.
Life always holds surprises for us and we just have to adapt and make the most of the learning opportunities.

Dear Eliza, I’m so happy to hear from you. I was indeed concerned that all was not well and I’m sad to know that you’ve had a very challenging medical experience, while at the same time it’s good that you were so well taken care of at the hospital, that you’re home now, and on the road to recovery. Your readers missed you A LOT! Take care of yourself first, and we’ll look forward to the return of your posts. Your “Notes” are the highlights of my days. Always love to you, Altea.

Altea, I’m alive thanks to the intervention of others, something for which I am truly grateful. Even as “out” as I was at times, I could still feel the healing energies and concern from readers. And I continued to have an “inner” dialogue with my guides all along the way. It was interesting to note that my sense of humor was intact even in the awkward moments.
Thanks and much love, Eliza

Brenda,
Until the med beds and other quantum tech comes online for the public, we have to deal with the Western medicine model. Fortunately, there are good people who work within the system as I personally found out.
I’m home and recuperating and will be receiving home health care until fully healed.

Greatly relieved to learn you’re alive and on the mend. In spite of the bad rap the medical system has taken over Covid, it’s heartening to know that good practice and care have not been affected. Please provide details on how best to make a donation. I have really missed your daily feed articles and comments. I especially enjoy your snippets on Annunaki et. al. history and hope you get the opportunity to follow through on your earlier thought to summarize same. Wishing you a speedy recovery, Lawson Bell

It’s going to take awhile to fully comprehend all the life changes. I am looking forward to undergoing a med bed treatment when they finally become available to the general public, sometime in 2026.
We are due for some pretty substantial system changes in 2026.
In regards to our history with the Anunnaki (or Anakh), Elena Danaan will be providing webinars on some of the Genesis material she covered in her presentation at GSIC Charlotte. In another lifetime, Elena was the “cousin” of Prince Ea and accompanied him on the Anakh expedition to Terra. IMHO, she is the best possible current source person on this topic.
Meanwhile, keep hope in your heart.

Dear Eliza,
Thank God you are okay. I was worried the first day and really worried after that. I remembered (I think) the last email where you said you weren’t feeling well. Finally I started searching the internet to see if I could find news. I’m so happy you are back at home and recovering. Although I look forward to your email updates every day, your health is much more important. I hope you feel back to normal soon. I have had blood clots completely in both my lower legs. It’s scary and painful.
Much hugs!! Debbie ❤️💜🩷

I’m so glad as well that you’re okay, and that you were so well taken care of. We’d always rather avoid having adventures like that, and there are a lot of problems in the medical world, here in Canada too, but when we really need them we are usually well cared for by such wonderful, caring people. It sounds as if it was a good experience all in all for you, especially given that you’ve discovered what you need to deal with physically in order to keep healthy.
No comment is needed; just want to welcome you back! Take good care of yourself but also allow yourself to be looked after. Sending you a big hug and lots of healing energies, Eliza. Hopefully you’ll soon be out wandering amongst those beautiful oak trees again.

Eliza, I am so glad you are back home and healing. Some of my friends also receive Sunny’s Journal. We have been discussing why we haven’t heard from you. I had a feeling what was happening to you, but I hoped I was wrong. However, you are mending and that is what matters. I’m so sorry you went through that, but now you know and no surprises in the future for your health. That’s a good thing for you and us. We don’t want to lose you. All of us you send to are here for you, too. I also have been praying for you and will continue to do so.

If I were to take “a break”, I would be polite and let people know. Before I was encouraged to go to the hospital, I was pretty messed up, very weak and short of breath. I wasn’t keeping food down… at all. I’m now eating well and gaining progress. ~ Eliza

Thank you for your post and thanks to the blessed people who helped you be here today. Honestly, I missed your posts and opinions. I have followed you since before my surgery after shattering my humerus in 2019 and perhaps even before then through your Blue Dragon blog. I never post or reply to anything but this time it is important to me that let you know how much you have made a difference in my life. I don’t have your gift for words probably from being a healthcare professional for decades where writing is done for the insurance companies. When I didn’t have time to read my emails, I read yours because you shared information that was relevant and cheered me up. I didn’t see Sunny’s Journal in my email and went back to reread what you had posted. Just to let you know, I am stuck living in Washington state and it is much worse than you remember. So glad you received your healthcare in Florida. Most of the compassionate and caring doctors, nurses, etc., left this state due to the mandates. No, I didn’t comply and was “forced” to retire as a result.
Just wanted to let know you make a difference even if you did take a “break” or decide to follow another path. You are an amazing survivor and a true light warrior fighting the good fight. Your soul’s unique presence and vibration on beautiful Terra is much needed. Please return to full health and follow where your heart leads you. Sending much healing love and light while keeping you in my thoughts.

What a beautiful thing to say about needing more of my song. I used to sing and dance when younger but didn’t study music theory. Even in the midst of feeling really bad, I knew it wasn’t my time yet, so here I am.
I’ve visited North Idaho back in the early 1980’s and did some backpacking and hiking. I lived in Spokane for a couple of years. Beautiful country although very different from Seattle and the Cascades. And now I live in Florida, flat as a sandy pancake!
