Short-term:
Massive public outrage — especially from those who lost loved ones or were injured. Protests, lawsuits, and demands for accountability would explode.
Trust in institutions would collapse even further. Governments, health agencies, media, and Big Pharma would face a legitimacy crisis.
Political fallout — heads would roll, with calls for investigations, resignations, and criminal charges against key figures.
Long-term:
- Legal tsunami — billions (or trillions) in lawsuits against Pfizer, Moderna, governments, and regulators. Some companies could face bankruptcy or breakup.
Vaccine skepticism would skyrocket globally. Routine childhood vaccines might see major drops in uptake.
