You Were Meant to be Unique | Anne Besnard

If you talk to an animal, you’re strange.

If you ask the stars questions, you’re odd.

If you listen to the wind, you’re peculiar.

If you hug trees, you’re crazy.

If silence is your favorite companion, you’re ridiculous.

If you contemplate nature, you’re eccentric.

If you dance in the rain, you’re insane.

If you dream while awake, you’re out of touch with reality.

If you still believe in magic, you’re a child.

If you prefer the moon to the glow of screens, you’re old-fashioned.

If you find poetry in a drop of water, you’re lost.

If you trace invisible paths through the grass, you’re a dreamer.

If you see shapes in the clouds, you’re naïve.

If you sing for no reason, you’re disturbed.

If you prefer the whisper of the forest to the noise of cities, you’re antisocial.

If you collect the reflections of light in people’s eyes, you’re strange.

If you trust your intuition more than logic, you’re careless.

If you discover treasures in little things, you’re eccentric.

But no matter what others think of you!

There is no greater freedom than expressing what nourishes your soul.

Remember: the most beautiful kind of madness is being yourself.

The world belongs to those who have the courage to be different, who speak with the stars and let their hearts sing.

Within these peculiarities lies your greatest treasure.

What some call strangeness is often a special sensitivity, a longing for what truly matters, a dance with authenticity.

Keep talking to the stars and dancing in the rain.

Keep seeing beauty where others pass by without noticing.

For it is the free spirits who bring depth and color to the world.

And never forget: what makes you different also makes you irreplaceable.
