THE CYCLE STOPS WITH YOU
Darkness does not always arrive as something obvious. Sometimes it enters through anger, revenge, bitterness, cruelty, or the desire to make others feel the pain you once felt.
And that is where the real battle begins.
Anyone can become harsh after being hurt. Anyone can justify hurting back when they feel betrayed. But spiritual strength is shown when pain does not get permission to rewrite your character.
You can acknowledge what happened without becoming consumed by it.
You can set boundaries without hatred.
You can walk away without revenge.
You can protect yourself without becoming cruel.
You can remember the lesson without carrying the poison.
Choosing love does not mean becoming weak or allowing darkness to continue unchecked. Sometimes love looks like truth. Sometimes it looks like distance. Sometimes it means saying “enough” and refusing to participate in the same destructive cycle.
The goal is not to pretend darkness does not exist.
The goal is to face it without letting it reproduce itself through you.
Every time you choose awareness over reaction, integrity over revenge, and compassion over bitterness, something powerful happens:
The cycle stops with you.
That is a different kind of victory.
Not destroying the person who hurt you.
Not proving that you can become more dangerous than them.
But walking through darkness and still recognizing yourself when you reach the other side.
