There it is. The new Greenland deal removes one of the security-related backstops that was engineered to keep the US tied to NATO.
And that’s important because, by getting the new deal in place, Trump effectively removes the ability of the European globalists to use access to Greenland as leverage tied to our membership in the alliance.

👀👆👆 The Greenland deal is bigger than Greenland. Childers’ argument is that Trump just attacked one of the biggest practical constraints on any credible American threat to walk away from NATO.
Buried in Article XIV of the 1951 U.S.-Denmark Greenland defense agreement is the clause that matters: the agreement was created in implementation of the North Atlantic Treaty and would remain in effect “for the duration of the North Atlantic Treaty.”
That meant Greenland was tied to the NATO architecture.
And Greenland is no minor bargaining chip. America’s Arctic access, missile-warning coverage and northern defense position run through it. A threat to leave NATO carried a potentially enormous strategic cost if Washington also put those rights at risk.
Now the board has shifted.
The new U.S.-Denmark-Greenland agreement, if finalized as announced, significantly expands the American military presence, bars adversarial bases and sensitive investments, and is intended to remain in force even if Greenland becomes independent.
That is why Rubio’s earlier warning suddenly lands differently.
After European governments blocked U.S. use of certain bases during the Iran conflict, Rubio called NATO a “one-way street” and said America might have to “reexamine the value” of the alliance. Childers’ point is devastatingly simple: Europe could discount that threat while Washington remained strategically dependent on the old Greenland arrangement.
That dependency is exactly what this deal is designed to weaken.
This does not establish that America is leaving NATO. It establishes something strategically more immediate: Washington’s ability to threaten a different relationship with NATO becomes far more credible when a critical Arctic security position is no longer hanging from the same old thread.
Europe spent decades assuming America’s chair at NATO was bolted to the floor.
Greenland just loosened the bolts.

Trump may speak loudly, swagger about and troll his enemies, but he gets the deals done. This is a MAJOR step in ensuring the security of the Western Hemisphere, especially for the United States and Canada, whenever that government finally capitulates to geopolitical reality.
Without the U.S. military presence in Western Europe, NATO will wither. None of the nations involved have ever paid their fair share towards the defense of Europe. Now, the Pentagon is threatening to withdraw troops from the UK, France, Spain, Belgium, Germany. Some will be moved more easterly into Poland, but many troops and their equipment will be shipped either back to the U.S. or elsewhere according to need.
Like him or not, the Trump character is making earth-altering changes in the geopolitical landscape. And yes, Trump is CENTRAL CASTING. He has said this aloud more than once, although people act like they don’t know what the heck he’s saying.
