🔥 THE CHOICE BEFORE US
Something feels like it is accelerating in the world around us, and I think most of us can sense it whether we can explain exactly what it is or not. The noise is getting louder, the division feels sharper, and everywhere we turn there seems to be another crisis, another conflict, another warning, or another reason we are supposed to be afraid of what tomorrow might bring.
If you spend enough time watching the news and following everything happening in the 3D world, you could easily convince yourself that humanity is standing on the edge of catastrophe. War, political chaos, economic uncertainty, violence and constant predictions of what could go wrong next have created an atmosphere where fear almost feels like the natural response.
But something very different happens when I turn all of that off and get quiet.
When I walk outside and feel the Earth beneath my feet, listen to the wind moving through the trees, watch the birds going about their lives, or simply sit long enough to hear myself again, I don’t feel the same message that the outside world is giving me.
I feel something deeper telling me that this moment isn’t only about what might be falling apart. It is also about what we are being asked to remember.
Maybe that is why so many of us are suddenly craving simpler things. We want nature again. We want real community, deeper relationships, gardens, fires, prayer, stillness and conversations that actually mean something. We want to know our neighbors, protect our families, create with our hands and remember what life felt like before our attention was constantly being pulled toward the next thing we were supposed to fear.
I don’t think that pull is accidental.
Maybe humanity is approaching a threshold where we are being asked to decide what kind of world we are going to keep feeding with our attention. We can continue allowing fear to dictate our inner state, reacting to every headline and carrying the weight of the entire world inside our nervous systems, or we can become incredibly intentional about what we allow into our hearts and what we choose to create around us.
That doesn’t mean ignoring what is happening. There are real problems in this world that deserve our awareness, compassion and action. But there is a tremendous difference between witnessing a storm and allowing that storm to take up permanent residence inside of you.
And perhaps that distinction is part of the lesson of this time.
The louder the world becomes, the more important it may be to become quiet enough to hear what cannot shout for your attention. Beneath all the predictions, arguments and fear, there is still a voice inside of you that remembers something the noise wants you to forget.
You are still here.
The Earth is still beneath you.
The Creator is still within and around you.
Love still matters. Community still matters. What you build still matters. How you treat the person standing in front of you still matters.
Maybe the greatest battle unfolding right now isn’t only between countries, governments, ideologies or systems. Maybe another battle is taking place quietly inside every human heart, asking us whether we will live from fear or faith, reaction or discernment, separation or connection.
So when the outside world tells you everything is about to fall apart, don’t automatically hand your spirit over to that story.
Go outside and listen.
Because while the world may be screaming that something terrible is coming, your soul may be whispering something entirely different.
Something is changing.
Something old may be losing its grip.
Don’t become consumed by what is falling away.
Remember who you are, remember what truly matters, and become part of what comes next.
